pimple/ingrown hair?

Recently, about a week after shaving my pubic area I noticed a pimple-esque bump. It is kind of up high, not really by the vaginal entrance so to speak. I kind of picked at it and it bled a little. Should I be concerned it's herpes or some other STD? or is it common to get vaginal pimples/in grown hairs?

Same thing just happened to me...I had my dr. look at it and she said it was an ingrown hair.
