I would like some feedback on the lense that has been used for the last fifty years for cataract surgery and is covered by insurance.

Hi,

I realized that my answer was perhaps not what you needed. I do not know much about IOLs. The doctors here will give you a more specific response.

The state-of-the-art IOL (covered by insurance) is the aspheric monofocal lens.  Take a look at the patient education video at www tecnisiol com.  Alcon and Bausch & Lomb also make excellent aspheric monofocal lenses.
