what could cause this?

by chiaribrain, May 31, 2008 12:42AM
My dad is suffering severe pain in the groin, legs, joints (knees mostly)..the feeling of someone pulling him apart from the waist down.  He says his skin feels like its on fire.  He get severe pain when he tries to walk, coughing anything to this matter.  Hes so bad, hes thinking bad things like hes dieing of cancer just because hes in so much pain.  The pain is so intense it has in vomiting alot, so hes lost alot of weight.  We took he to see a chioropractor and he xrayed him and said that his lower vertebrea were bone on bone.  But couldlnt tell if there were any ruptured discs.  With the treatments they were doing he was getting worse.  I took him to an ER and they did nothing but drug him up.  He does alot of HEAVY lifting for his job,  hes a construction worker which he carries heavy block daily.  But he hasnt moved for about a month now.  Any input?  I suffer from alot of spinal problems myself, Chiari, tethered cord, instability of the spine, degeneretive disc, just had fusions done too...but never can say i suffered the pain hes dealing with.  He screams in pain with movement.  I cant stand seeing him this way,  hes even now have the anxiety attacks from the pain taking over him.  Any insight?

Hi,sorry to know it
Your father definately suffer from trapped nerve and perhaps soft tissue injury as well.

Did he get MRI scan? Did he try inversion therapy?if condition isn't very severe.
Take care!
