aura with no headache

I have just in the last two weeks been getting auras with no headache, i didn't know these existed. Not really being a migraine sufferer, only getting a very rare one which I put down to being allergic to raspberry jam.

I have been getting these aura's for two weeks now every second day with no real pattern. They are spinning me out because you do think the worse (brain tumour) etc. I am going to the doctor on monday AGAIN because I went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago and was told it was a virus. Can't wait to maybe get some reason for these aura's which are disturbing, especially happening all of a sudden

Hi, I had an experence yesterday where I had a  prism/crystal effect in the top of my left eye vision. I thought It was something reflecting off my glasses rim until I took them off and it was still there. It started moving down and expanding across my left eye vision until it seemed to be moving as an advancing front from top left to bottom right and then disappeared about half way across. It lasted about 15 minutes and can be best described as a sparkling prism or crystals. I seemed to be able to look through it, it was just disturbing. I had no pain. I have just started (two weeks) on a low dose of blood pressure pills that have reduced my blood pressure into the normal healthy range. Any thoughts.

Hello Dear,
You should consult a neurologist and get a neurological examination and MRI done to rule out any pathological reason for the aura. Your symptoms  must be differentiated from cerebral thrombosis, embolism and dissection, epilepsy, thrombocythemia, TIA, polycythemia as already discussed in your prior query.Do not worry and goodluck.
