guilt

I was just wondering if anybody suffering from depression also experiences excessive guilt? It is probably one of the things I hate the most about having depression - I can never forgive myself for anything and take full blame for everything, even if I am not totally at fault. I can put things into a clearer perspective if I am not in one of my "down and out" moods, but the guilt is always kinda in the back of my mind. Any possible coping mechanisms I can use to control this better?

I hear that psychotherapy (spelling?) is supposed to help. I wish I could give you a definitive answer on that one. But I understand about your feelings of guilt. Sorry that this isn't more helpful.
