Please Help! What is wrong with my cat?

by Cabbit, Jun 03, 2008 03:25AM
She has jaundice, is very week, lethargic, and dehydrated. We took her to the vet but they couldn't tell us what was wrong. She tested negative for FIV and . The vet asked us if we want to put her to sleep because we can't afford the emergency care/tests she needs done to possibly get better. We don't want to put her to sleep. Please help.

I would suggest calling around to see if you can find a vet who will accept installment payments for treatment. I have no idea what's wrong with your cat but if she remains dehydrated she wont last long. If you really can't afford the treatment or can't find a vet who's willing to accept payments then it might be in her best interest to euthanize. But please try and get a second opinion 1st. You can also check your local shelter as their vets often work cheaper.
