Can I do anything to lower my test results?

by CristyO, Jun 03, 2008 11:49AM
In January I did some routine lab work and the results for TSH, 3rd Generation were 5.86. My doctor told me to wait 3 months and repeat the test. I repeated the test a couple of weeks ago and the result was 5.19. My doctors says it's borderline and to wait 3 more months and repeat the test. Then, depending on results he'd start me on pills. Is it ok to wait 3 more months? Is there anything I can do to lower the levels naturally? I'm 34, 5'9", 182lbs, and take blood pressure pills...Quinapril-HCTZ 10-12.5mg (if this helps). I haven't lost or gained any weight in the past 2 years...I wish I could lose though. Thanks!
