Questions about Echocardiogram /long standing bracyhcardia

by fluffypurrcat, Jun 05, 2008 01:27AM
After having a Cardiac Catherization and not having any significent blockages. I am set for a Electrocardiogram tommorow, Thursday the 5th. I am wondering if the dr. is looking for heart wall motion, is this different than the heart wall motion analysis  that is seen on a stress test? What are the other things they are looking for? Are there smaller arteries or things not seen in the catherization that he can see on a echocardiogram?
Any input would be very much appreciated.

Allso I am wondering is there any connection with longstanding slow heart rate and heart disease and or ischemia, and how do they diagnose ischemia or is it a process of elimination? My last post has to do with my EKGS over last couple of years and my slow rate as well as other EKG changes. In the Urgent Care today because of excruciationg back pain and bad neck pain and severe neck spasms, my heart rate was 49, even though my blood pressure was elevated? Thank you .                                               fluffypurrcat
