He is not too much underweight for his weight for his age. For his age he should be getting about 1200-1300 calories per day. The amount of food for the whole day are fruits 1 cup, vegetables 1.5 cups, grains (cereal, bread, pasta, rice) 6oz, meat and beans 5oz, milk 2cups, and oils 4 tsp, which should be broken up throughout the day into 3 meals and 3 snacks between meals. Suggest giving him Pedisure or Carnation Instant Breakfast drink instead of milk for additional calories and nutrients. Hope this helps you.

His height is good. He needs to eat more food and less syrup in his milk.
