Not inducing

by sfritz, Jun 05, 2008 03:45PM
I had my doctor appointment today and the nurse made a mistake. My second test for preeclampsia came back normal and they are not going to induce me! I am soo happy my baby gets the extra time she needs and to decide for herself when she is ready. I will be 37 weeks tomorrow, so I don't have much longer to go!!

I hope everyone is feeling well!!

Thank you! I really don't want to have an IV or any drugs, so being induced I would have to have both. I have heard that contractions with pitocin are way worse than normal labor pains, and I want to avoid getting an epidural.

I do have to admit I cried when they first told me because I am in a lot of pain and am not really able to eat anything, but then commen sence came back to me and I realized that this is what I want. A healthy, natural birth with as little medical intervention as possible, just like my first one.
