So sorry to hear that you are having more problems than ever...I hope that you can find out what this one is!
When I had two EEG's and was having grand mal and petit mal seizures they both came back normal but that didn't change the fact that I would wake up in the a.m. with petechiae, sore muscles, sore tongue from biting it, and exhausted. They confirmed that they were seizures that I had but I also had some strange ones where I would just kind of zone out and not be in my body for periods of time...of course I don't recall this happening, it was related to me by hubby or others around me.
It is really scary when things like this happen and you should talk to your gp about it...he may even try to get you into your neuro sooner than July! I wish you luck with this and I hope you get some answers soon.
Thinking of you and giving lots of hugs,
Rena
thanks for the advise, this morning I talked to my hubby and he said he wasn't holding me down, but kind of cuddling me so I would hit the end table or something and hurt my arms, hands..it comes on quite quickly and I don't know if I can get to the floor safely when I'm by myself? (I hope it doesn't happen again)...
it was quite scarey last night and I will tell the Dr about it this week. Also the Neuro when I see him in July...
1 1/2 years ago I was tested with an EEG he said it was normal. I had a small spell in this Neuro office then...I wasn't jerking at the time though. He said he didn't know what it was and see my GP...but sent me for a MRI since I've been not well for awhile then.. it showed some tiny lesions in the white matter and corpus collsum...he didn't know what it was...said not specific with MS? that was 1 1/2 yrs ago..
now, I'm alot worse with symptoms and spells, vision etc..so I'm seeing him again and having another MRI. I'm hoping I get some answers soon.
thank for your advise...I will watch for this and talk with my hubby, so he can help as well, when he is home with me. Thanks so much guys..

I agree with Penn and Sunny. My first thought was some type of seizure as well.
My dad had seizures as well and we tried to have him in a safe place (floor) and on his side so his tongue wouldn't go back in his throat and obstruct his breathing.
Please call your doc and discuss your episodes. Please keep us updated!!!
Take care and lots of ((hugs)), Pat
Hi, I second Penn.
My dad and my mom's best friend have seizures and I've helped them through several of them and witnessed many, and the best place to be is on the floor on carpet in a clear area with any objects that are near you such as dressers or couch legs padded with pillows. You should also be laying ON YOUR side (this helps with clear breathing).
The reason you don't want to have anyone hold you down is because the power of the jerking is intense and it can actually wrench your joints your joints out of socket if they are pulling or pushing on them when the body jerks. Only in extrememe cases should a person be held, and this is to prevent head injury when they are laying on the floor and are convulsing so badly that they are bouncing across the floor.
Please go ahead and talk to the doctor and request an EEG... this is important. Some seizures to do not cause a loss of conciousness.

I hate to say it, but that sounds like it could be a type of seizure. There are more types than most people are aware. Have you been tested? I was tested as part of the "rule other things out" phase (which I'm still in). If your body is jerking, you are more likely to get hurt by someone holding you down. Lie on a clear area of the floor until it stops. I work with many people who have seizures daily. I also train people in first aid/CPR. This is the procedure for a seizure. Even if this is not a seizure, it is similar enough that I would follow the same procedure.
Call the doc; better safe than sorry.
Hugs,
Penn
