Need Some Help

by JJ1110, Jun 11, 2008 08:28AM
I have recently been diagnosed with OCD and was given Wellbutrin to curb the obsessive tendencies as well as Xanax. My problem is I check the mirror like 100x a day scanning my face for hairs that I can tweeze and I dig under my skin trying to remove them.  I now have the thought in my head that if I don't remove all the hairs in the wounds I have created they won't heal..Does anyone have any insight on this or help they can share?

You are on medication, have you gone to therapy?  The answer is to talk to someone that can change your way of thinking....

Picking the hairs out will only upset the sores more and prevent them from healing. Just fyi. I agree with susieq87 that you should definately try going to therapy though because it sounds like you're still acting obsessively & compusively.
