What are the chances of my girlfriend being pregnant?

by i_sandoval, Jun 11, 2008 11:40AM
Hi. I am 19 and my girlfreind is 17 and yesterday she did not start her period as she was supposed to. We usually have protected sex but a couple weeks back when she got off her period we had sex and i didnt use a condom and possible ejaculated in her even though i tried to pull out on time. Yes that was stupid and yes she is on birth control.  This took place a few days after she came off her last period. A week or two later she developed a minor urinary tract infection and was on atibiotics for a while and we have not have had sex since she developed the infection. I figured this and the stress of applying to colleges and she always stresses about starting her period is what is causing her to be late but i have no clue. Any advice on this? Any help is appreciated.
Thank you

There are many reasons her period may not come, stress is a big one, an illness also.  If she is on the pill consistently, its possible she could have gotten pregnant, but unlikely.  Also, a few days after period isn't usually when you could get pregnant, but again, its possible.

Only way to be sure is to do a pregnancy test.  If don't want to buy one, she could just visit her OB/GYN about the missed period where they will likely do a pregnancy test.
