Like Broccoli or Cauliflower?

by shay75, Jun 11, 2008 06:58PM
This seems so obvious, but if you haven't tried it... Set your oven to 350, spray pam on a cookie sheet and lay out broccoli/cauliflower florets (or stems) Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper. Bake for 20-30 min depending if you like the crisp. DELICIOUS and quite nutritious, as well as being fairly filling. I found it to be a great tip, thought I'd share!

I adore roasted vegetables like that.  You can also roast asparagus the same way.  I use 2 tsps of EVOO and put it in a ziploc bag, put the veggies in, add salt and pepper or spices to taste, and shake well to coat.  Roast at 450 for 5 min. You might need to stir them up and roast just a couple minutes if they are not quite done.

Thanks for the tip!  If someone isn't a veggie lover, this is a great thing to at least try.  Brings out a totally great taste.

I don't know of anyone that likes brussle sprouts, but that is how how prefer mine. I buy them fresh, slice them in half and brush them with olive oil and sprinkle with fresh diced garlic and bake at 400 for 20-3- minutes......very yummy!

I HATE BROCCOLI, CAULIFLOWER, ASPARAGUS, BRUSSEL SPROUTS....GRRRR!  I WISH I liked vegetables!!!  HOW CAN ANY OF YOU CALL THIS YUMMY?

Now, get potatoes, fry them up in oil, put some salt, dip in ketchup....NOW THAT'S YUMMY!!!  I think they call them FRENCH FRIES!!!

Lol.....Don't get me wrong. I LOVE french fries, I just don't like what they do to me.

Sorry you don't like veggies...I couldn't live without them!

Well, you can use potato and make a healthier version of a french fry... Just had that last night, minus much ketchup. Keep trying though - I bet you like some veggies! Have you tried spaghetti squash or zucchini? All of them need flavoring at first... I didn't like most of them right away but I've grown to...Try different rubs or seasonings (I love chipotle or garlic or italian blend)
