Gum bleeds alot after brushing teeth

by SHunter10, Jun 11, 2008 10:58PM
Hi, I hope someone can advise.

After brushing not too hard with a medium toothbrush the gum above one of my upper teeth bleeds a lot. It's done this for the last 3 weeks, and I have persisted with brushing, flossing and mouthwash morning and night. The mouthwash stings the area. I think the gum is starting to go grey in the area between that tooth and the next. And, I'm probably being paranoid, but I'm sure the tooth is losing it's whiteness and it's surface is becoming rough.

Please advise. Do I continue to brush and floss, or leave it to see if it settles down? I am currently travelling in China so am not able to go to a dentist until I get to Shanghai in a week or so.
