Are these normal numbers?

by sevenhuskers, Jun 13, 2008 07:02PM
My 7 year old has blood sugar issues for a year and a half.  His numbers have ranged anywhere from 70-243.  Our family doctor has said as long as he isn't over 160 consistently where is no problem.  I thought no one was over suppose to go over 140 but she has said kids are given more wiggle room with those numbers.  I'm very frustrated as he is very symptomatic.  Now they are **** a MRI to look at his pituitary gland.  At what number does there indicate a problem?

I thought it was 125. For my son, a good range would be 70-120. I would imagine that if the #'s could get up to 243 it's a pretty clear indicator that the body is unable to regulate itself.....But I'm not a doctor. I would find another one if I were you. And fast. Diabetes can turn ugly very quickly.
