Understanding Xray report; help, please!

Can anyone help me understand my latest X-ray report?  I went to a surgeon to look into a hip labral tear repair, and she told me that the arthritis in my hip was too advanced for a successful outcome to the arthroscopic surgery.

She wrote:  X-ray: Standing AP pelvis and frog lateral bilateral hip: mild joint space narrowing left, moderate right.  On standing Xray there is less than 2mm jointspace (Phillipppon criteria) and decreased femoral head/neck junction offset".
"Patient is 45 y.o. female with right hip symptoms consistent with femoral acetabular impingement and arthritis.  The MRI arthrogram also shows diffuse articular thinning.  I think she would get minimal lasting relief from arthroscopic intervention; will proceed with therapeutic intraarticular steroid injection"

I got the injection yesterday.

My confusion comes in when I read the radiologist's report on the X-rays; they don't quite match the surgeon's findings, I think, and there are some terms I don't understand.  I'm hoping someone will be able to help me understand.

The radiologist's report:
FINDINGS:
The visualized osseous structures are intact without acute fracture or focal destructive lesions.  There are periarticular sclerosis and spurring involving both sacroiliac joints.  There are bilateral iliac wing enthesopathy.  The joint spaces of both hips are maintained and within normal limits.  The femoral head contours are smooth bilaterally.  No soft tissure abnormality is identified.
IMPRESSION:
Degenerative joint disease involving both sacroiliac joints.  

Does anyone understand "periarticular sclerosis and spurring involving both sacroiliac joint.  There are bilateral iliac wing enthesopathy"?

I knew I had issues with my right SI joint; I suppose it follows that the left would get involved, too.  The surgeon said I will need a hip replacement; my knees are already in such bad shape that they will need  total knee replacements as soon as I can't stand it any more and can find a surgeon who will do it at my "young" age.

I don't think they can do anything about the SI joint.  Not to mention my lumbar radiculopathy issues.  Sorry about the whining; it gets overwhelming at times.  I used to climb mountains; now stairs are a real challenge.
