Pregnancy following Mustard Repair !!!

by scottduffy, Jun 16, 2008 05:51AM
Hi Folks,

My wife had a Mustartd Repair in 1984 when she was 4 years old. We have been discussing whether or not to start a family lately and i must say i am very worried about this. I know there is a real chance of the right Ventricle struggling to cope with pregnancy and i was just wondering if anyone could tell me how likely this is. We have spoken to her Cardiologist about pregnancy and he seems to think she has had a 'good' Mustard done and she should be ok although i am not quite as convinced. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
