gastric problems

by ume786, Jun 16, 2008 08:35AM
i m 26 years old male. around 5 years ago i started having problems with fatty foods..i neglected that since they were minor..around 3 years ago i over eated lots of fatty foods mainly meat where actually i started suffering very seriously..initialy it started with gas, bleching, and feeling full after meals after some time i lost my appetite and started feeling faint and losing weight after eating food..3 months after i had a severe episodes of loose watery stools for few weeks and then it become constipated..i consulted many gasteroenterolgists of the area..did tests for blood, hepatitis, liver function, tsh, abdominal x ray, ultrasound ,...all were negative..doctors put me on stomach acid suppresors such as zantac, omeprazol etc.. then after few months i started pain under rib cage exactly in the mid portion..after a couple of months i did blood tests for h pylori..it came positive this time..then i took one week course for triple therapy for eradication..after that i started feeling severe burns in stomach..and GERD..
now
now after feeling chronically ill with stomach..now from  last few months i started feeling pain under right rib cage..now GERD is gone..but right sided pain is severe and there is complete indigestion for fatty foods..

i guess the root for my problems was gallbladder and then i got other things around..i been severe tense ..still no endoscopy since doctors say you dont need..

pls pass your opinion and help

regards
ume

It sounds like gallbladder. First investigation is ultrasound (and not endoscopy), which may show stones.
