Blood in Diaper

My 8 week old daughter has had blood in her diaper for 3 weeks. It occurs once or twice a day, and sometimes a day and a half or more goes by without any blood. The doctor said she is probably allergic, but I have cut out dairy for over 2 weeks and there has been no change. She is eating and sleeping well and growing fine. She is fussy, but I'm not sure she is overly fussy. She was born 3 weeks early and spent a week in the hospital due to an unknown infection. What could be wrong?
