Gadolinium For MRI/Spine

I have MCS and Fibromyalgia. I am scheduled to have three MRI's of my complete spine. Gadolinium has been ordered for the C-spine as I have titanium at three discs.I have severe pelvic pain and neuralgia in my legs and I believe it is from pinched nerve in my low back.Two questions. Does contrast improve MRI diagnosis on areas without previous surgery? Although I do not have kidney disease, can gadolinium cause problems for someone with immune disorders?
