My mom- update 6-19-08

Hi wonderful ladies...

Just wanted to give you all an update as you've been so kind and so loving to include her in your thoughts and prayers...

Mom's at 4th chemo today (chemo was pushed back one week due to fistula infection)...and her CA 125 results are 15.4 (25.5 a month ago)... so we're really happy with that news.

She'll go for another CT scan today to check on the fistula, and will remain on TPN another week...only clear fluids allowed.

She's in good spirits... but she said she'd knock an old lady over for a hamburger!

That's wonderful news.  I'm so happy for you guys:-)  Hopefully mom will be able to eat in a few more days and there won't be any news incidents related to her being a hamburgler:-)

It sounds like your mom has retained her sense of humor and that is great. What kind of fistula did she have? I don't remember you mentioning that.  Of course I don't remember getting dressed today, but I have clothes on.  LOL  I had a bladder fistula and had to wear adult diapers, (and no that frilly paper waistband does NOT make them look nicer) and had to wait 3 months for surgery because they said it wouldn't heal right than.  I never did find out why though.  I guess it had something to do with chemo.  
Good news is good news though and you are a wonderfully supportive person for your mom.  Take care of you though also.
