im so worried i might have an infection.

i got on the depo on the 12 of  april. but i decided not to go back on it. any ways i've been having sex with my boyfriend unprotected. well i recently started to notice that my discharge wasnt coming out white anymore. it was coming out brown and its gotten darker since. my friend told me that was how her kidney infection started. so do i have a uti or a kidney infection????? it doesnt burn when i go to the bathroom. and it doesnt itch........down there. and im out of state so i havent gone to my doctor. does any one know what it might be?????
