after follow-up doctor tells me to make appointment within six months

after my follow-up from seeing doctor for hpv,she told me to make appointment within 3 to six months.did'nt say anything about being treated for it or anything.What do you think this is about?

Most likely, if you have warts, to see how treatment/the spread is going.  If you don't, then for a repeat pap smear.  Or possibly both.  I encourage people to be pro-active in their medical care, next time I'd ask specifically what this is for.

Hello. Don't worry too much. Did you test positive for HPV? If so, the doctor wants to follow up to see if it clears up or if further treatment will be needed. I have been where you are. Over a year ago, I was diagnosed with severe dysplasia from HPV. Mine turned into low-grade cancer. I had a LEEP procedure and am on the track of having normal PAPs now. I say don't worry because stress and worrying can make your body prone to more problems. You have a good doctor that wants to keep you safe and healthy and that is why you need the follow-up. Hope this helps. :o)
