Fibro and menstration?

Hello, I have been diagnosed with Fibro.. and chronic face pain. My periods have always been really regular, painful but always ontime and predicatable. The last 5 months or so, I have been all over the map. One month I had 3 periods (each lasting about 5 days... and a few days in between each period), then nothing for 2 months, then a 2 week long period.. then most recently a 4 day long period (short for me... and super heavy). I am also having temperature issues. I am either freezing cold or I'm having hot flashes (everyone else will be fine... and all of a sudden I'm so hot, and my face, neck and upper body is drenched in sweat... my hair will get wet and I'm all gross... nothing relieves it). I was tested for thyroid problems and the doc. said that all was normal... but my ESR was fairly high. He said that this just means that something is inflamed... but doesn't say what.... and according to the internet... it could be anything from a simple virus (I wasn't sick) to cancer. Could fibro cause an elevated ESR? I just had a pelvis ultrasound to rule out a cyst, fibroid, etc. but haven't gotten the results yet.
Has anyone else had these same problems? I know women with fibro will most likely have painful periods... but could it cause the irregularies, hot flashes, etc? My doc didn't seem too concerned (he was also a male and I don't think quite got it.. I had to push for the ultrasound). Also.. my stomach has been so swollen/bloated lately... I don't have ibs or any issues with that. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks... it would be appreciated. :)

I should also mention... I am only 20 years old... never been pregnant... or sexually active.. so pregnacies, stds and menopause are not really issues for me.

I have periods of time that my periods wll be all messed up, then they will go back to normal, then be all messed up again. I always had regular, very light periods until this started happening. I also have hot flashes or am freezing. Menopause was ruled out. So yeah, I guess it is all just another part of it.
