Question about small bumps on penis shaft

by rcam, Jun 19, 2008 09:11PM
It's been at least two months since I was sexually active; unprotected hetro sex at the time with a partner I had been with for many months.

Recently, perhaps after the first week of june, I noticed the appearance of small bumps on the shaft of my penis, and in the pubic area above the base. Very small so far, 1mm, not really raised enough to feel, and the same color as surrounding skin; I just happened to notice them one day and have been examining for since. They are painless.

When squeezed however, a very small semi-hard ball of whitish material comes out of the center, and the bump will then bleed and heal over within a day or two, but remain red for a few more days. I havent 'picked' at many of these, just a few the first day, and one or two since to confirm that it was still possible. I'm 99% positive its not a form of acne or hair folicle infection, since the majority of the bumps arent on skin that has hair.

I havent felt sick, or had any discharge or painful symptoms. It's just starting to bother me; mainly because of the before mentioned whitish material. I tried to do research online into various STD's, and Molluscum was the only thing that really was a somewhat near hit.

I'm just really curious as to what this could possibly be, if its an STD or some unrelated skin issue I'm having.

It could be molluscum. It could be another condition. Go see a dermotologist. Picking at the bumps makes it difficult to diagnose and if it is a viral infection, you may spread it.
