Adrenal problems cause almost all of the same symptoms as polycystic ovaries, but usually they are a little more extreme. Actually, recent research is beginning to indicated that PCOS is often CAUSED by adrenal dysfunction. They are linked by means of insulin resistance. This seems to fit a few of your symptoms.
Good luck.
My endocrinologist had me take a cortisol test a month ago. I had to take a pill at 11 PM and go for the blood work the next morning at 8 am. He said it was checking for adrenal or pituitary gland tumors. It was the same time I had my 2 hour oral glucose as well and had a renal function test and a few other things. My cortisol level came back very low... so he said no worries about a tumor. But, I don't know what very low means. Plus the pill I took the night before was made to supress the levels right?
