heart palpitations

by lizzy3298, Jun 20, 2008 09:48AM
I have had heart palpitations for yrs, but if I lay on my left side they will go away.  The only other episode outside of this was when I was taking a high dose of Vitamin B in a multi I was taking.  I called 911 3 times that week!  Now today (3 yrs later) I woke up at 0545, went to the bathroom, went back to bed and laid down on my stomach.  Something that has always been comfortable.  Heart palpitations started immediately and continued to the point I had to get up.  It occurred at all times that I tried to lay down.  It is now 11:45 at night, I tried to lay down and it started again.  I've always been told things are ok, but I have a horrible family heart history with a brother that had is first heart attack at age 32 and died of a massive one at 44.  And there are many other stories with parents and siblings.  I live in  Japan as my husband is stationed here with the Navy, I train for marathons, have 3 boys and life is stressful with my husband's job being demanding, but why is this happening now?  I am afraid to go back to sleep but I am too tired to go to the ER.....  I am 38 and very healthy from what I know of.
