health heading downhill after giving birth

Since I have given birth to my little boy almost 4 months ago, several bothersome health issues have come to light. I was healthier than I had been in  a long time before I got pregnant. I lost a substantial amount of weight and was taking daily vitamins. I continued the prenatal vits during pregnancy and for a month after birth.
Here are my symtoms. Piercing headaches like someone is driving a railroad spike into my head and eyes. Numbness of my left arm, twitching in neck, muscular twitches in lower legs, throbbing knee pain with a pulling in my left hip., changes in vision, numbness in head and face and one occasion of numbness in my tongue, persistant diarrhea for more than three days at a time at least twice a month. My stomach also feels very hard and I am very tender in my uterine and ovarian areas. And, oddly, sex is still painful even after 4 months. I have also been losing balance, especially if I close my eyes while standing.  One other thing is that a sharp pain goes up and  down my spine .
I had an MRI done on one knee it only showed a supra patella separation with otherwise unremarkable results. I have had a concussion in the past. Also when I was younger I was told I had chronic migraines. But in the last two years they had gone away.
Please can anyone help? My "doctor" will not listen to me and thinks it is in my head. I know that most of this stuff has to be connected I just don't know how.

did you have an epidural?  Maybe something there???? Air bubble or left over meds, fluid leak?  I don't know... I have heard of them causing problems.  Do your symptoms improve when you lie flat?  I think that was something I remember helping it for my sister in law when she had an epidural related problem. Another thing I'd wonder is... is something left in you from your delivery?  Part of the placenta?  A medical sponge from surgery?  I'm just reaching for something, I could be way off base.  Hopefully the dr. on the forum will point you in the right direction of questions to ask your dr.

I agree with SarahB79.  I think it is some kind of infection that has gone untreated.

I had a baby the end of March, and had some of the same symptoms.... numbness, headaches that were horrible, and vision issues, etc.... I have to say though that I went to a chiropractor about four weeks ago after I woke up one morning with no feeling in my right leg and a very sore lower back.  I began seeing him a couple times a week and all symptoms subsided.  I had a twisted pelvis, four ribs out and several vertabrates out in my back and neck.  You MUST find a good chiropractor though, one that isn't going to treat what doesn't need to be treated.  Maybe try that and see if you have any relief.  Also, try massage with it.  It helps warm up the muscles before they adjust you.  I feel so much better since I started this regimen.  Birth takes sooooo much out of you, not to mention the nine months of carrying all that extra weight.  Take care of yourself!!

the pain in your leg sounds like you siatic nerve caused by the epidural hitting that nerve unfortunatly i don't believe there is anything to be done for it i have had the same thing for four years since the birth of my lodest daughter.
