Dark and light days

I am nearly blind as a result of glaucoma.  In recent years I have had periods when everything is dark and periods when everything is light.   Frequently  dark and light days occur one after the other but they may occur in different parts of the day.  I have asked 6 specialists about this problem but never had an explanation.  The main suggestion is that it is a matter of blood circulation but from my experience and my own tests I do not believe this explanation.  I put my problem to the International Glaucoma Association and said that I found it hard to believe that my situation is unique.  They said that they did not know of anyone else like me. Can you help me?
