best treatment? confusion!

by eddguy, Jun 21, 2008 08:19AM
I was treated with trichloracetic acid on some warts. since then i have noticed a couple tiny ones in another area. the pain and discomfort of the acid treatment is almost unbearable even a week later. I know there are 2 types of cream for treatment of hpv. which one is better? Podofilox (Condylox), or Imiquimod (Aldara)? so i have some feedback and concerns to talk to my doc about. any help would be greatly appreciated

That's strange you would be having so much pain after the acid treatment.  Did the doctor get acid on normal skin?  It's only supposed to be put on the warts.  No HPV treatment is "better" than any other, they all work differently for different people.  Aldara is typically the more commonly prescribed cream.
