Metformin does cause some gastric issues for the first few mnths or so but that will subside- just give it time and eat when you take the medicine. Remember to watch your carb intake (about 30-35 for each meal and 15-18 for a snack or two a day) and exercise-- also make sure your Dr is doing checks on your cholesterol as heart issues are something we D's have to watch carefully.
Your Fasting Suagr is high, don't eat too late and remember to test often so that you will begin to know what spikes you more that others (food-wise)
