3.5cm unilateral ovarian cyst , 51 yrs old

I am 51 and still have regular periods.  They have gotten heavier , then lighter but arrive 22-26 days every month. I never had children and I do have my tubes tied.  In march things got weird.  An ultrasound showed nothing abnormal and a uterian biopsy was normal.  I ended up with a uti which is unusual for me and because of that I had a ct skan done that showed a 3.5 ovarian cyst. The ultrasound was not transvaginal but abdomial.  Why would it show up on a ct skan and not the ultrasound.  I had my appendix burst last year and have always had constipation problems.  Now, since the appendix burst my stomach is constantly bloated or at least more times then not.  The doctors do not seemed concerned and blamed the irregular periods and tender breast on a cortizone shot I had in March.  I am completely fatigued right before my period does start.  Should I just get over it or should I follow up on it?  Thanks for your opinion, alot!!
