Herpes scab last super long?

by Grimsta2003, Jun 21, 2008 08:04PM
I was diagnosed with Genital Herpes last June. A few months ago i developed a scab (just like a regular scab from a skinned knee or something). It is in the pubic hair area (also where my reoccurring rashes appear; about the size of a nickel). It doesn't fall off or nothing, I poked at it with a Q-tip (i know i'm not supposed to =\) but it just kinda bleeds underneath a little bit when you try to scrape it off. What is this? And why won't this scab fall off? It is about the size of a fruity pebble.

Help!!

A "scab" that is there all the time and never changes, isn't due to herpes. I'd follow up on this with your provider to find out what is going on. This doesn't sound at all related to your herpes and it's been there long enough that it's time to be concerned and follow up on it.
