Hi, I am from UK and I had sex with sex worker who is russian ( Protected sex with Condonm on till the end of sex completion) and washed after sex. 5 Days later i had throat Infection for which I have used about 12 tablets of antibiotics and could get better with antibiotics..after 4 days I went to see doctor and he has asked to use paracetmol..after using it my throught Infection has got bettered and Cured within 5 days but I had feeling of nausea and temperature of 37.0-37.3..later to completion of 2 weeks I had my tounge coated white and I have seen doctor and he has confirmed it be oral Thrush, which I am using mediation now to get rid of it..all this been happening from past 3 weeks now..I have booke for rapid duo test on 31st June..Doct can u suggest me the risk to HIV.

I am not able to sleep properley with the anxitey.

If my tounge is coated am I sure Infected to HIV??

Please let me know I am really scared.

my GP has said that it was Virul Infection for my throat, which can can be cured by pain killers and I have Paracetmol used It for 4 days and my throat was Improved.

Doctor has said that virus cannot be treated with Antibiotics..

Once I have Thoat Infection immediately I have started the course of Antibiotics for 4 days abot 12 tablets without consulting doctor.

Are you sure Antibiotics cause white tounge??

I am stressed and dont know what will be the results for my test.

Hoping for -ve..

You had no risk and a common bacterial sore throat. Your tongue is white due to antibiotics. Antibiotics do that.
You are wasting your own time getting tested further.

Thanks for reassurance again..Hope my test results comes up negative after 1 week. I am taking duo test on 31st of this month.

Are you sure by using Antibiotics Amoxilin 250 mg about 12 tablets can be cause of Oral Thrush in my mouth.

My throat Infection is well Picked up within 4 days after using Paracetmol, Now I dont have any Throat Infection, Only problem whic I see is my toung is coated white.

I have been using medication from last 1 day and It has shown already some Improment hope to see it clears of within next 2 days of time.

No, you have killed the mouth's natural flora with antibiotics. In their place candida has flourished. It's like bathing your hands in diesel removing the natural oils and bacteria and wondering why dermatitis has occured.

You had no risk. The timing is wrong for ARS pharyngitis.

Clearly there are simple throat infections going round. Good luck with the 'mediation', are you going to try and get a third party to try to talk the thrush out? ;-)

I have used more than 12 tablets of Amoxilin antibiotics to cure my sore throat when it has started but it hasent improved after 8-10 days, i had my tounge coated white.

Is Thrush is definetly HIV??

If I'm reading correctly that the thrush appeared after the course of antiobiotics then bingo I think we have found the suspect.

by the way 37.3 is not fever its normal temp lets not forget that we are in the summer. my doctor nearlly kicked me from her office when came to her with what i thought was fever it was the same 37.3.

Those that tell you that Thrush is because you have HIV don't know what they are talking about. Anyone can get thrush at anytime. You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV. MOVE ON.

if your condom was intact and did not fail during the sex act then you are OK. the symptoms that you are experincing can be caused by 10000 things other than HIV. anxiaty can cause meny things and LIZZIE LOU can tell you all about it she wrote an article somewhere on this site on this matter. the botom line if your condom did not break then you are OK.

you had protected sex...doesnt matter how sick you are.  it is NOT related to hiv.

When I am saying protected Sex, I had condom on till end of sex and I dont think the condom was teared any stage of Sex..But my worry is after the exposure  within a week time I had sore thoat, mild temperature of  (37.0-37.3), nausea, and once I had loose stools...these are my Intial symptoms, lateley after 15 Dyas to exposure I had white tounge coated, whic doctor has said that It is Thrush..

Many people says that If you have Thrush in your mouth Its HIV..Is it True??

Can Oral Thrush can come in mouth within 15 days to exposure??

I am worried and tensed.

Also wanted to know will there be any sadist sexworker who adds some holes in the condom before sex, which we cand find out?? Lot many questions are striking my mind and tensed I am completely diturbed and lost weigt of 1 Kg.

you had protected sex you had zero risk. as  LIZZIE LOU said antibiotics can cause white toingue, furry tongue and dry mouth. i am sure that you will get a -ve result in your test. as for symptoms they never start 5 days after exposure.

this is not the "ask a doctor" forum...

PROTECTED SEX IS JUST WHAT IT MEANS...you did not have a risk of contracting hiv from this.

dont know what is going on...but it is not hiv!!!!!!!   some antibiotics will cause yeast in the mouth.
