can i get pregnant?

ive suffered with bulimia on & off since i was 10. for the last 3 years it gotten worse but ive just met someone who i would love to start a family with. i just dont know if i have ruined my chances because of my disorder.
please can someone help me :(

Well.. bulimia can largely affect hormones and womanly cycles, etc. If your periods have maintained normal and all of your organs are still functioning properly, you still have a chance to get pregnant. The problem would lie more in being able to stay pregnant though... if you can't even eat enough and hold in enough for your own body.. how do you think you are going to be able to keep enough nutrients in for two. Pregancy and bulimia is a hard thing. You have to mkae a sacrifice and be able to help yourself before you bring another innocent life into the mix. Are you getting help? If yes, then maybe in the future if you recover you will be able to. If you aren't getting help, as I've said.. if you really want something bad enough.. you have to work for it.. meaning get help.. make an effort. Don't let the disorder run your life.. and then one day you will be able to have kids, hopefully.

Pregnancy and Bulimia IS a hard thing. If you are able to get pregnant, you WILL gain wait, no matter how hard you try not too, and for the sake of your child you need to gain weight. Other than saying that, i agree with what the above poster said. Speaking from experience, Bulimia is not a good idea if pregnant OR wanting to get pregnant. I got pregnant with my soon after being bulimic for 7 years...and during the pregnancy i had to try sooooo hard not to vomit. I will admit though that i did a few times (and it wasnt because of morning sickness). Before getting pregnant please get your bulimia in check. Your baby deserves the best possible.
