About a week and a half post LEEP

I had a LEEP procedure done a little over a week ago, and the first few days didnt really have much bleeding. I got my period that following Monday, and have had a steady flow of bleeding since, and it is now Sunday. Normally my period lasts 3 days tops. Not to be gross, but tonight I was walking into my house and felt something more than the typical bleeding. I went to the bathroom and noticed what looked like a glob - like jello texture, or a texture of canned cranberry sauce on my pad. I had heard from another girl that this had happened to her post LEEP, but I am really curious as to what it is exactly? So odd. I have a follow up appt this week, but can they really examine my cervix and how it is healing if I am still bleeding and having this odd texture happening?

it is a normal texture of the staining solution and burnt tissue leaving u!after a few weeks mine turned blackish...and i had a discharge for a month..not abnormal i was told but annoying nonetheless.it was not heavy but steady.so not to worry....it is not odd and they can examine u!

thank you for your reassurance! i have my follow up soon so i will be asking a lot of questions. i just find it so weird that i am still bleeding and it is rather heavy.

it will seem heavier cuz of ur period....just great being a woman eh?not with this stuff....i laff when the docs say HPV normal don't let it interfere with ur life.....its a inconvenience yes...let a man have a LEEP and pass hunks of skin for a month wear a pad...see how ya like it!:)YUCK!

I had my LEEP 8-07.In 8-07 i will have #4 pap to determine if HPV virus all undetectable on my cervix...all 3 have been clear....i will be so glad to have this saga over with!

had the follow up today and they said that i am only 70 percent healed, and since i am still bleeding they had to put more of those mod cells (SP?) on my cervix and come back in 2 weeks for another follow up. i explained that "material" that happened the other day and they said that it was old dead tissue/cells. the good news is, is that my margins came back all clear so that was good news! :) i just want to heal up! :)
