Do these symptoms go with cord compression disc bulge

by mythoughtexactly, Jun 22, 2008 10:25PM
I had an MRI which said I had cord compression in thoracic T7 and a disc bulge. I had the MRi due to numbness in my back sever mid and lower back pain a band that wrapped around my ribs. However now I have an extremely odd and very debilitating symptom. Directly under my ribcage I have what I am assuming is stomach muscle spasms. The muscle at times or the stomach area anyway is almost always tight and I can literally feel the muscle go into spasm and even feels like it rolls at times. My second odd symptom is that my right leg gets really weak and is difficult to lift up as if I have no control over it. I go to lift it as I would normally when I walk but it does not lift up or it will up at times but I have no control over where it comes down. Other times both of my legs have a heaviness to them. This is not constant but the stomach symptom is. Can these last two new symptoms be related to the cord compression or disc bulge? Thanks so much in advance for any help.

Hello Dear,
Weakness, heaviness of legs are typical of cord compression.Stomach spams do not seem to corelate with it ,you should consult your physician as there could be some gastric dysfunction.
