kicking and hiccups

by tisa1029, Jun 23, 2008 03:42AM
I have felt my baby move but I was wondering what a kick and hiccups feels like? My ob/gyn asks me if I have felt the baby kick and I say no b/c I am not sure what to feel. I feel a pulse when I put my hand on my belly but thats about it. I can right now feel him moving back and forth on my bladder. lol need to pee

What are you planning on naming your little man??

Hiccups feel like hiccups,  little bounces that you feel all over your belly and not in just one spot or two like an elbow or a kick.  Trust me when you feel a kick you will know what it is!
How far along are you?

I agree with Kazwel.  If you feel just one area of your belly bulge out it is probably a kick or punch! And I guess hiccups feel like little spasms.  I think I had them with my last pregnancy but not with this one yet.  I dont feel a lot of kicks yet but can feel her flipping around in there!!  It is a great feeling!!

Are all of you feeling kicks? or baby moving? It seems this one here doesn't ever stop kicking, moving, hiccups.

I don't think I've felt hick-ups yet, or maybe I just can't distinguish that from other movements.  Since I have 2 babies in there I couldn't figure out which one is kicking where, but after level 2 the doc explained their positions it's much easier for me to figure out which one is kicking. One baby is on the top and the other on the bottom so even though they might move around in their own sacks I don't think the saks themselves change positions.

I remember at the end of my pregnancy with my first. she had hiccups all the time. She was so low, I could feel the pulsating in my sugar bowl... It didnt hurt but after a while, it got annoying. I have felt hiccups with this baby but its just a rythmic hiccuping pattern in my lower belly. As for the kicking, its the same as movement but a bigger harder thrush. Being this far along, when my lil one kicks, I can see the little body parts protruding from my belly.  ITS SSSOOOOO CUTE!!! I try to get pics and videos of it but Im just too darn slow!!! GGGRRRR
