My Son Was Biten By Fleas...What now?!?

by natemomma27, Jun 23, 2008 09:38PM
sorry if this seems off topic, but i took my son to the doctor today for what i thought was a rash and it turn out that he was bitten by some type of bug. i came home and checked the two indoor cats we have and sure enough it looked like the one has fleas (still checking the other one). my poor son looks like he was eaten alive as the bites are every where on his body (20+ bites). what can i do for him other than benadryl and calmine lotion and also what should i do about the cats? how can i get my home clean and flea free without calling some one to fumigate(sp) the place? my poor son is so miserable and i feel so bad. any advice would be helpful!

they do have flea bombs  that you can buy  but you have to be out of the house for several hours, also, I am not sure how old your son is, but I would check with the dr before doing so, to see how long he should be out of the house,    and see what other precautions should be taken.
