Hey yeah so here's tsh from the first reading. I still had the maxillary infection tho. I also was taking things to help me go to the bathroom. 8.42 tsh and 1.1 for t4 free. I know nothing about blood counts lol. I had another serious outbreak today. I was supposed to have an ultrasound for my ovarian cyst never made it. I was driving around trying to figure out where I was supposed to be. I couldn't remember. Finally ended up at an er. I was there for about an hour. I cooled off. I didn't get waited on they were busy. I was up for a good few hours with it.( starting at 2) I could feel it growing on me. Here's what im taking so far
vitamin c 500-1000 not all at once, one a day for women, mucinex cause im extremely congested from teeth draining, keflex for the antibiodic, its also a new pill always used amoxi but body couldn't fight it off, i took two tylenol today becasue I have extreme pms and am retaining a lot of water, synthroid and prevacid, claritan from post nasal drip. A lot huh? Thanks for all of your advice it is helping so much.
The only thing I will add is that depending on the antibiotic you take for the abscessed teeth, it may affect how the Synthroid is absorbed.
The antibiotic could also contribute to your Candida isues. Make sure to eat yougurt with live, active cultures or even better, take an acidophilus supplement during this time. It will replenish the "good" bacteria in your gut and deter the yeast from overtaking your normal flora.
What are your TSH levels? Starting and most recent?
Give the med time to work- 6-8 weeks to see some difference. Make sure to get the repeat tests to keep up the appropriate dose of Synthroid.
Your TSH has nothing to do with you abcessed teeth, and the infection will not affect your TSH test.
The doctor wants to do frequent tests to make sure your TSH does not go too high or too low.
Now, I have been to the dentist. I have a couple of abcessed teeth. Does this mean I have a different type of hypothyroid now? I have a stronger medicine to kill the infection?? So very confused. I don't know if I should even bother getting my tsh checked if the infection is still involved.
Frequent test for Hashi is good. It keeps a record of your TPO levels attacking your thyroid and when things start settling down. Meds will change frequently until you become stable.
the only relief you can do for yourself is follow your symptoms and react.
google each of your symptoms and see if you can assist yourself. I suffered many symptoms and no meds ever helped me.
Personally I hate using meds to "mask" things. I went back to the natural ways to relieve them.
As for the weight - it is part of the process - sorry...... but true.
until you become stable you may gain. BUT look forward to the day things are back to normal. The pounds will come off then.
