Nighttime foot pain

by jlbuec01, Jun 25, 2008 07:58AM
For the last year my 3 year old daughter has been waking up at night with foot pain. It happens maybe 2-3 times a month. The pain is usually in both feet, but not always, with no swelling, redness, or specific areas of tenderness. She describes the pain as stinging. The episodes last about 30 minutes with or without analgesics and rubbing her feet has no effect.
She is just inconsolable when this is happening. Does anybody know what this is or how I can help her?
