Perimenopause, on the other hand, means the menopause transition years, the years both before and after the last period. The production of most of the reproductive hormones diminishes and becomes more irregular resulting to hot flashes, mood changes, insomnia, fatigue, memory problems, itchiness, skin thinning and becoming drier.
