by nwad27, Jun 26, 2008 12:36PM
I've had pain under and around my right breast area and side (few inches under arm area) when coughing (currently have a cold and asthma) or breathing normally or deeply. Has been approx 2 weeks now - have tried R.I.C.E. - dznt seem to be working. Any other suggestions?

Hi,

There could many reasons for your pain. Firstly it could be due to gas. Antacids will relieve pain if it is gas related. The pain could also be due to sleeping on the wrong side.
Muscular or bony problems of the chest can also cause pain. I would advise you to see your physician as soon as possible.
