Spreading Herpes-1

I have had only two cold sores in my life but I'm pretty sure that still means i have herpes type one. I am just wondering how these things could spread. Could I some how spread these to my genitals? Or how fast would it take to spread the infection. If I wasn't thinking and began to give oral to a man for only a quick second, could this result in him having genital herpes? Or if i had no signs of a cold sore and I were to give oral to a man could I still spread it to him?
I am very curious about different ways of spreading my type of herpes. I just would like to know the facts before anything happens. Thank you in advance. =]

If it is HSV-1 and not caused by something else you can spread it pretty easily if you have a cold sore I wouldnt be too worried about spreading it when you have no signs of it. But giving oral while having a cold sore will mostly likely end badly for him.

HVS1 can only be spread to the genitals thru skin to skin contact so if you gave a man oral sex an you had a cold sore he could get HVS1 on his genitals. If you just dont give anyone oral while having a cold sore i wouldn't worry about spreading the virus because HVS1 doesn't shed the virus as much as HVS2 does. Also if you kiss someone while having a cold sore an they dont have HVS1 you can also spread it that way. If you dont have a cold sore at the time of kissing an oral sex i wouldn't worry about spreading it. If you wanna be even more careful not to spread the virus whenever you feel that itching coming on that you get before you develop the sores dont kiss or give oral sex an you should be fine.
