Blind Spots after lasik

by Julie50, Jun 27, 2008 03:33AM
I had lasik surgery and they did the monovision on me,  I ended up with double vision so they re-did the lasik so that I could see far away but not up close.  Since surgery I had to quit my job (I was a hair dresser and nail tech) because any time I seem to get close to any fumes I end up with blind spots to the point that I cannot see what I am directly looking at.  I have talked to the Doctor that did the surgery and he says that he has never heard of such a thing and for me to get some reading glasses and I will be fine.  I still have problems with the blind spots and if I am at the computer for extended times or are in bright lights inside or out I can get blind spots.  I also have severe eye strain to the point of having severe headaches.  What can I do now?  I also now have ocular migraines that I never had before.

Well that's more than I think you can blame lasik for.  Find another Eye MD and get a second opinion on all your problems. In the USA find one at www.aao.org
