Fall on buttock in bathroom

I fell on my buttock and lower back in the bathroom. I am in my late forties and overweight. It happened a week and a half ago. The back pain has gone away, but I am still experiencing pain in my buttock especially on standing. I was diagnosed with deep muscle contusion, but I need to know how long does the pain usually last after a fall such as this?
