Muscle Jerking

I recently had rotator cuff surgeries. Both times after surgery I woke up to violent jerking. This last time it has not completely disappeared and in fact, becomes worse after physical therapy. Any ideas of what road I should pursue to see what's going on?

Now they have to get together to set up my surgery date. I just want to get started on this long journey that's exactly what they called it.
