DOCTOR PLEASE PAY ATTENTION SINCE A YOUNG MY CHILD HAS BEEN TAKING TO 11 TOTAL PEDIATRIC SPECIALIST OPTHOMOLOGIST WE HAVE BEEN IN THE OFFICE 3 HRS PER DOCTOR THROUGH THE LAST 10 YEARS HE IS NOW 16 YRS OLD HE CAN NOT READ THE TIME OFF THE CABLE BOX HE CANT SEE OR READ AT A DISTANE OF A ARMS REACH HE SEES OBJECTS AND ALL CLEARLY EXCEPT FOR LETTERS AND NUMBERS IN WHICH SCHOOL  IS IMPOSSIBLE TO READ CHALK BOARD AND NOW HE WANT S TO DRIVE HE CAN SEE TO DRIVE BUT TO READ THE SIGN HE NEEDS TO BE RIGHT UNDER IT OR BY IT PLEASE HELP ALL DOCTORS SAY THAT HIS EYES ARE PERFECTLY HEALTHY ACCORDING TO MRI AND ALL TEST  TAKEN BUT NO GLASSES HELP OR LENSES ALL MAKE IT WORSE I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO FOR HIM HE IS SHATTERED AND FEELS LIKE A HOPELESS CASE FOR HIS FUTURE ... DO YHOU THINK IT CAN PSYCHOLOGICAL BECAUSE THE OPTIV NERVE AND ALL ARE HEALTHY THE DOCTORS CALL IT A ENIGMA AND NO SOLUTION TO HELP HIM BE ABLE TO READ FROM A DISTANCE

Obviously this is a very complex case and beyond our scope here on this forum if he has already seen 11 pediatric ophthalmology specialists.  I suggest you instead take him to a neuro-ophthalmologist and present the question you asked me about possible psychogenic causes or even some type of learning disorder.  Why don't you look on www.aao.org to find a neuro-ophthalmologist specialist in  your area.
