how can i help my 6yr old daughter to build her confedence to speak up?

The normal s[ectrum is very wide - some children (like all people) are more ready to speak up and others are more reticent. Children who tend to be quiet are not abnormal. They are one version of normal. It's always wise to be asking our children what they think about any number of things, so that they have the invittaion to talk if they want to. The question: "What's your idea?" is a good way to offer our children the oportunity to talk and communicate their thoughts.
